Kerry and Angie' is a character-driven short film based on the award winning play by the same title. The film is about the depressed helping the depressed. Two middle aged best friends attend a christening at a church where Angie arrives late in her typical fashion and then insists upon sitting in the back to drink her coffee and catch up with her Kerry. Her cell phone rings and despite the many protests from the guests she answers it. Kerry suspects the caller is one of Angie’s recent boy toy pick ups, a self destructive behavior that she promised Kerry she would stop. Kerry confronts her and Angie defends her actions with twisted rationalizations and loud off color language that even cause the Priest to grimace and shake his head with disbelief. This script delivers laughs as the two long time friends try to lend each other a helping hand.
