This series, "A Newsreel History of the Third Reich", includes unique footage plundered by Russian Troops in 1945. Compiled as it is from German newsreels which were made under the influence of Goebbels' Ministry of Propaganda, these are by no means accurate histories but allow unique insight into how the period leading up to and including WW2 was presented to the German People. Volume 2 deals with the period 1936 to 1939. It covers the massive re-armament of the German military; the friendship pact with Mussolini and the Italian Fascist Party; the German and French declaration of war and the mobilation of Germany's great war machine towards the West amongst other subjects.
