"The Crew" unravels the mystery and explores the various technical positions that form a film production unit. "The Crew", covering 18 different departments from Grips to Costumes, Lighting to Make-up, vividly presents the jobs and lives of film production workers. The Set Decoration Department (Set Dec) is responsible for all the furnishing on a set. Positions discussed in this episode: Set Decorator: responsible for overseeing research, acquisition and allocation of items required to dress the various sets. Buyer: Responsible for purchasing and renting elements of set dressing. Set Dresser: Crew members who "dress" the actual sets, doing all the work required of the department. On-set Dresser: Responsible for set dec placement and continuity during shooting.
