What is IndieFlix?

IndieFlix brings engaging movies to independent thinkers around the world.

Touted as the Netflix of independent film by Variety and founded by filmmakers, IndieFlix is a membership-based streaming service that has become one of the most meaningful global online platforms in the industry. IndieFlix gives movie lovers access to over 8000 quality independent shorts, features, documentaries, classic TV and web-series from 85 countries, 2500 film festivals and the top film schools in the world.

IndieFlix champions filmmakers and independent movies. For an optimal browsing experience, we recommend you use the latest version of one of the following browsers.

What internet speed do you recommend for optimal streaming?

Broadband/high speed Internet connection (DSL or Cable) with a download speed of at least 800kbps (higher download speeds are required for higher bitrate content). You can check your speed here: www.speedtest.net.

Why is my video playing slowly or stopping?

This can happen if there are extreme fluctuations in available bandwidth or if your computer has a very high processor or disk load. If your internet connection speed falls below the minimum requirement for a certain video for too long, you may experience times of slow or jittery playback or the player may tell you that it is “buffering." The way to fix this is to watch a lower bitrate video. Click on the video rate (for example, 1000k) to the right of the volume on the video player. Set the rate to a lower speed.
