Angst for CorporationsNevertheless for CorporationsSince iNDIEFLIX first started distributing Angst, the first installment in the Mental Health Trilogy in 2017, companies and corporations all over the world have licensed our film programs for their employees as a way to kick-start and open up conversation about mental health. In turn the overwhelming response has been an increase in employee engagement with their EAP and utilizing corporate benefits. Strengthening of the company cultures as a whole has been immense, the impact of each film program attributable to:
These approximately 50-minute documentaries weave personal stories with industry and medical experts. They help people understand and give them the space to reflect on what’s going on with them, with others, and what they can do about it.
These post conversations take the learning and insights to a personal level, enabling company leaders and employees to share their stories, ask questions, connect, learn and gain the confidence to make use of company support and resources, and become allies of each other.
Pre-Covid, most screenings were in person. Now the transition to virtual delivery means that companies can still offer live screenings and discussion, but employees can also screen with more privacy and with their families. Companies can offer the option to access on-demand the entire film program and SEL activities for as long as they wish after the initial event.
For each film topic, iNDIEFLIX provides SEL activities and a library of resources in the form of articles, book recommendations, podcasts, discussion panels and video clips. We also provide links to your corporate EAP and benefits to find more information and direct help.
iNDIEFLIX has the technical ability and flexibility to create a turnkey solution according to your own organization's needs, resources and logistical constraints. Learning and change can be challenging; we are here to make it easy and straightforward.
HPE has shown Angst to its employees on an annual basis for the past 3 years in the US; 2 years globally. They follow live screenings a 30-day license, taking advantage of word of mouth and allowing employees to stream the film and panel discussion as many times as they wish during this period.
We’ve heard tremendous feedback and stories from many who benefited from watching the film and sharing it with their families.
— Allison Stark, Global Wellness head at Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Pre-Covid, MGW hosted Angst via a series of in-person screenings. Over time these have transitioned to live virtual screenings plus follow-on viewing licenses across the globe. MGW liked the format and impact of Angst so much, they have also adopted international screenings of LIKE and The Upstanders, the other two films in iNDIEFLIX’s Mental Health Trilogy.
I think the films are a really good way to start that conversation...it just gives you tools and things to think about, so don’t be afraid to offer them.
— Julie Krause, Microsoft Global Wellness
The original iNDIEFLIX film, and in huge demand since Covid, Angst raises awareness around the symptoms, struggles and solutions for those with anxiety, aiming to reduce the stigma of this most common of mental health issues, and encourage people to reach out and ask for help. Our corporate partners as well as educators can attest that it has saved lives. Understanding the enormous impact of our smart phone addictions and the rise in social media on our levels of well-being and happiness led to LIKE, which aims to help all of us attain balance between our digital and real worlds. Made with huge support from The Center for Humane Technology and Silicon Valley experts, LIKE is a more hopeful pre-cursor to The Social Dilemma; it acknowledges the dark sides to the data and influence wielded by big-tech, but it points towards strategies for taking back control and using these tools for positive effect.
LIKE uncovered just how much social media is used to debilitate and devastate individual lives through cyber-bullying. A must-see for any parent, this examines a form of bullying from which there is no escape - from the perspectives of bully, by-stander and victim - highlighting the power of empathy and resilience to stand up against this most insidious and unnecessary form of attack.
iNDIEFLIX also distributes an at-times uncomfortable, but absolutely essential film for all corporations and colleges – ‘Nevertheless’. Released in 2020, it examines harassment in the workplace through personal perspectives, from an auto plant worker and member of the Navy, to a tech entrepreneur and 911 dispatcher.
