If you had just one year left to live, wouldn't you make every day Valentine's Day?
Kate has a self-centered daughter, a needy ex-husband and a terminal illness. What she doesn't have is someone who will love her to her dying day... or so she thinks. When an unexpected romance comes, Kate must decide if she can live with love.
The heart has a mind of its own.

This was the "ultra-" independent film, made on a shoestring budget with the help of great talent in front of the camera and behind it. In just 6 weeks, we made a film that has been delightfully surprising viewers with its quality as well as its "message."
When we premiered the film, response was overwhelmingly enthusiastic. People clamored to buy copies. Of course, in this business, getting widespread notoriety and a distribution deal can be nearly impossible without a big name star, so it has (until now) remained obscure. We're hoping that changes with IndieFlix.
When I had the idea for VALENTINE'S DAY, the thought of doing a romantic comedy about a terminally ill woman scared even me! To say the subject is "delicate" is an understatement. But as I developed the script, I became passionate about it, and when I showed it to actress Kristin Keating, she became as passionate about it as me. Casting her in the lead was my one stroke of genius!
For as long as I've been writing and acting in films, I knew nothing about making one. Cinematographer Jim Brennan graciously accepted the task of teaching me while we filmed. It's to his credit that VALENTINE'S DAY looks as good as it does. But like Jim always says: You've got nothing if you don't start with a good script. Everyone involved believed in this script, and you can see their commitment to it in their performances. I am forever grateful to the talent (in front of and behind the camera) who contributed to VALENTINE'S DAY.
When we premiered it at a local theatre, I was overwhelmed by the audience's enthusiastic reaction. People clamored to buy copies. I even got letters from Hospice workers who deal with death and dying all the time telling me how inspirational the film was for them. And, it's a Comedy!!! But I feel that it's a very tender comedy-drama (a dramedy?) that has its roots in good characters and a believable, down-to-earth, real story. I'm extremely proud of this film.
