TWITCH was largely inspired by events from my childhood. My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis shortly before I was born and I grew up having to take care of her. I have been interested in this mother-daughter role reversal for some time, and made the decision early on to cast my actual mother in the film. By bringing as much real-life experience to the film as possible, I hope to create a more raw emotional experience for the viewer.
