Romance and Revolution in the desert! The border town of New Jericho is rocked when a mysterious musician (The Neptune Cowboy) wanders into town and shares his music and heart with a troubled young woman whose life has collapsed around her.
Violence erupts when this chance encounter starts a chain-reaction of change that brings the town's facade of decency crumbling down to expose the dark and painful secrets that have remained hidden for so long.

Neptune Cowboy represents the realization of a dream for a core production group of 7 friends who worked for 5 years to make this film. What they lacked in experience and finance, they made up for in sheer determination, ingenuity and raw talent. Neptune Cowboy was truly a labor of love. In fact, the entire team was multi-talented and each member had to wear many hats. Cross training was key to getting the film made, as was a pioneer spirit. The cast and crew came to proudly think of the project as “movie-making boot camp”. Because the film is about a musician the team was determined the soundtrack be superb. Director Daniel Wolfert explains. "Alex Jacard, Diana Nile and Pete Munday collaborated until we were all satisfied we had achieved this goal. There was a magical day when we watched a test audience react to each scene precisely as we had hoped. Their laughter and tears were precious. We had so many inquiries about a soundtrack CD. That's when we knew our quest was complete."
